Hello,
I am inquiring in behalf of my cousin who was recently got diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer. She wrote to the Senate of Rhode Island where she currently lives to seek help in order for her to bring her sister in-law here in the US to care for her while she undergoes neccessary treatment such as chemo and radiation therapy. Along with the senate's letter to the immigration there also the letter from her doctor and her husband's commanding officer where he works for the US Navy all these letters guarantees rather expedited for her to obatined the visa she was given a multiple entry visa. Upon her entry she was given an six months stay she is now currently in the US. Our concern at this time is that when she goes rather when her visa expires in November that means for her to go home that is the time that she would really need help since she is getting weaker and weaker by the day. Currently her health is very poor she cannot breath without the support of an oxygen tank and can barely walk on her own. She can't afford to be alone and not have a caregiver so therefore we are asking for your advise on what to do on her sister in-law visa can we get anextension for her to stay or if she were to go home can she return to US within a week to ensure that she won' t be left alone for a long time a day is even crucial with her situation not having any care. Please advise us on what to do we are very desperate. Thank you
