  • Vsitor Visa Extension - No Receipt

    Hello All,

My mother has been here in the US with me and we recently applied for her visitor visa extension. The cheques we sent her have been cashed a month back, but we have not received any receipt so far and the EAC number on the back of the cheque does not seem to fetch any information on the online system. Has anyone experienced this? Will it be ok to call an IO regarding my mom's case? Any suggestions?

    Thanks,

where exactly do you plan on calling an IO? extensions are bad ideas.

This is the first time we applied for her extension. I did take advise from some of my fiends who did the same with their parents and everything worked well. I guess it is all a game of luck.

But this does not still answer my question. We applied in the Vermont service center and the cheque has been cashed. The EAC number on the backside of the cheque does not work with the online tracking system and its been mroe than a month since the cheque was cashed, but no receipt yet. I am a little worried about this. Is there a way to call USCIS and ask them about this case? I dont know if this is an option yet.

      Thanks,

So if your friends throw their parents off the brooklyn bridge will you do the same?

Extensions without a real reason, unplanned emergency that deserves an extensions are BAD ideas... your parents may lose their visa altogether...

There is no a specific way to contact USCIS about extension cases directly... specially if it is not showing online...

This is not a game... and it is not luck... it is more like playing russian roulette, with your parent's visas...

My advice, have them leave before their I-94 expires and forget about the extension.
