  • Visitor visa extension - I94 card

    Hi,
My parents visited US last year on visitor's visa and filed for 3 months extension before the 6 months expiration of I-94 which was in April 2008. But they left this country in June 2008 even before getting the answer for their extension and handed over their old I-94 which were expired already. I recieved their APPROVED extension notices in December 2008 along with the new I-94 cards with the extension approved until September 2008. My question to you is do I have to mail in the new I-94 cards back to UCSIS or the customs dept? If yes does any one of you have the mailing address? Will there be any issues when they come again?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions here.

Mail it back to USCIS, explaining the situation. It is very important to do this so as to avoid complications when they arrive next time. Also mail them copies of their old I-94, boarding passes and arrival departure stamps on passport if you can somehow get all those. (They may scan and send you)
Keep copies of everything you mail with you for records.

This is really ridiculous actually on USCIS' part, sending extension until September in December.
This is my opinion and not legal advice.
