b2 extension while waiting for h1b approval

hello everyone

i need advice.pls. help me and somebody could answer my question.
here is my sitaution.

I am here in USA on b2 status with 10 years mulitlple visa b1b2.
i had several time in and out here in usa back to my home country.

now i am here in usa and my b2 status on I 94 indicates will expire on july 22 2009.
but fortunately i found an employer who's willing to sponsor me for h1b and they file my application to the immigration for h1b status this 1st week of june 2009 so that i can get work permit.and i will be starting to work if approved on oct. 1, 2009.

my question is do i need to file an extension of b2 that will be expired on july 22, 2009 while waiting for the result of my h1b?

pls. help me and advice before i moved to the next step.

Hi, Roy! We have the same situation. How are you doing with your H1B processing? Did you extend your B2 visa? Did you have a lawyer that handle your H1B petition? Please share your experience. Thank you.
