Short extension time cost?

Is there any way that the fee would be less than $300 for a visa extension if I only wish to extend the time for 15 days, or do I still have to pay that $300? Is there any other cheaper way that I can legally stay in the US for 15 days after my visa time runs out other than applying for a visa extension?

The I-94 determines your stay in US and not the visa. Returning before it expires is the only next cheapest alternative.
