  • A question on extension of Visa b1/b2

    Dear sir,

I came from India on the above visa (scanned copy attached). I am 58 years old retired. I have come to meet my only son who is working here.

My visa will expire on 9th May,2010.

    1. Can I apply for extension without leaving US. Exactly when can I apply for extension.

    2. Is it necessary to purchase the return ticket at the time of application for VISA extension. If it is rejected airline refuses to refund.

    3. I have return ticket with Lufthansa on 9th May. Can I extend this ticket to a date after 6 month. Travel agents are not co-operating. They are asking me to have a new ticket which means the earlier return ticket is lost.

4.. I have a Canadian visa expiring n 20th April. I intend to go to Canada on 1st week of April for 2 weeks, The reason is of delay is too cold now for me.

    5. Next rime when I want to come to US from India do I need to apply to US embassy again as I did this time. I have got 10 years visa.

Please help me. I am confused.
