B-2 Visa Extension + New B-2 visitor sponsoring

Hi,

My mother is here with me under B-2 visitor visa. Her I-94 expires in 2 weeks. My mom was getting ready to go back within the date. But now we have second thoughts about her extension. She has 10 year multiple entry visa stamped last September 2009. Will there be any issues applying for an extension now, when we are just 2 weeks away from I-94 expiry date? What will be the chances of approval by USCIS?

Also if I am going to file an extension, I am planning to sponsor a new visitor visa for my sister (who is unmarried and currently working in India in a leading software firm) and invite her to join us here. So later 2 months of her arrival, my mother and sister can leave together back to home.

So already an extension being filed for my mother here, will there be any hinderences sponsoring a new visitor visa for my sister?

Please let me know your thoughts/experiences. Being just few days away from my mom's I-94 expiry date, if anyone could reply early, that would help us much in further planning.

You ought to have applied for an extension over a month ago.

Since it sounds like that there is no real emergency or serious reason for this extension it would be better to avoid applying for it at such a late stage.

Let your mother return to India. Have your sister apply for a visa and then have them both visit you about 1.5 years from now.

Thanks for your time and replies. I was planning to apply for an extension purely for tourism purposes. wont it stand a good reason?
