My mom applied for an extension of her B2 visa to 2020-04-30. The application was submitted in early December 2019 and her biometrics was taken on 2020-01-03. However, perhaps due to the COVID-19 slowing down USCIS operation, the application is still pending. What should we do in this case? Say the application eventually gets approved, what would be the granted date on the approval letter (my original requested date of 2020-04-30 or some new date)? Will my mom still have overstayed her visa?
