Visitor Visa Extension (I-539)

Hi,
My Mom's I-94 expires on Sep 4th, 2010 but her return ticket is for Sep 5th. Will it be a problem if she travels on Sep 5th?

If yes, then we are planning to file for an extension and travel during end of Sept. Because we are filing at Vermont center, the processing time for I-539 is 3 months. We are not planning to wait for the decision. Is this OK?

If her request for extension gets approved, then all I have to do is to send her the new I-94. Is this correct?

But if her request gets denied after she leaves the country, will this be a problem when she comes back to US next year?

Sorry for so many questions. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My Sister has intially sponsered my parents Visa can i extend it

My Parents are visiting US for the 3rd time now, they are supposed to return to india in November. But i want to extend it this time. The intial sponserer for thier visa was my sister, so my question is can i apply for the extension instead of my sister. Please advise if that is possible and will there be any issues.

Nobody sponsored the Visa, your sister only provided the funds. They can come to the US and stay until the period given on their I-94. They can apply for extension of status if they have genuine reason to have a longer trip. Usually it is very difficult to secure extension unless genuine reason can be proved. Any stay beyond the I-94 date is considered illegal and automatically voids their Visa.

Agree, when trying to apply for extension it asks for the proof of funds again along with a genuine reason. As i am not the one who originally produced those proofs can i do it now while extending.
