Extending B2 visa

I had applied my B2 visa starting from OCT-22-2021 to Mar-31-2021 which is pending now.Since B2 visa valid for 6 months normally ,can I extend the same visa till Apr -22 -2021 as it covers the full 6 months?
Else USCIS itseif will approve for full 6 months till Apr-22-2021?
Also if I want to extend beyond March 31 ,do I need to apply new visa else I can extend the current visa?

I think you mean you applied to extend your status. (Visa is only for entry and cannot be extended.) If you wish to stay beyond March 31, you should file another Extension of Stay application before March 31.

Thanks for your response.Yes ,I applied for I-539(B2) to extend my stay since my H1B got expired on Oct 2020 .

There is no 240 day limit. You can stay in the US until a decision is made on your B extension of status request, or the end date of your extension, whichever is earlier. If your extension end date is nearing, you may need to file a second extension even if the first has not been approved. tutuappvip.co
