B1/B2 Visa interview-waiver/dropbox appointments in Chennai VAC

I am in the process of renewing my parents B1/B2 visitor visa which expires early next year. I have their DS160s filled out, the application fee filed, and they are eligible for the interview waiver/dropbox option as per the appointment scheduling flow on the ustraveldocs website. However, for hte past 20 days, I have not been successful in getting a visa appointment for them.

Has anyone had any luck in doing this ? If so, can you pls share how you were able to do so, and what time you logged in to look at the appointments ? Thanks !

Hi Member,

As per US Embassy India ******** News on Dec 08, 2021, The US Embassy and consulates across India will resume B1/B2 Interview waiver ( Drop box) processing in January 2022. Therefore, Please wait for one more week to resume all of regular process on Interview waiver.
