  • Re-entry to USA after 2 weeks in India for a period of 3 months.

    Hi,

I have a 10 years B2 visa with a M (multiple entry). I have spent 6 months in USA but want to explore more. I had to visit India for my personal & Family reasons for 2 weeks (Just before my I-94 expires). I want to re-enter for a period of another 3 months. I have the return tickets and all other required documents. My passport and VISA are valid and my sponsor is on H1B.
Is there any chance of getting denied entry to USA. If so what is the best thing to do.

I have my parents in India with house and property. I have no intentions to stay or work here and neither I have done so. I just explored the east cost (NYC, DC, Philly, Niagara etc) and now want to explore the west that's it.

Please help me as I have already booked my tickets

You can try your luck only. You will be extensively queried at POE why you are visiting again within a short period of 2 weeks.

      Thanks for the reply

Is there any way by which one can make sure of this before travelling all the way to USA from India. I have a return ticket for the month of May. In case If I am denied entry what do I have to do? Do I need to purchase a return ticket immediately and return to India?

No. There is no way to make sure in advance of traveling.

If you are denied entry, it is the airline's responsibility to take you back. They will use up your return ticket for that.

            Hi,

My mom has stayed here for 4 months on B2 though her I94 is valid till 6 months.
she wants to leave to India for some personal work now and return back in another month to continue visiting places.
My dad stays there and is employed and own a house. She does not intend to work or has worked during her stay in 4 months.
Will there be any problems at POE?

Returning on J2 after spending 6 months on B2

              Hi,

I spend six months on B2 and want to travel back within 15days of my arrival to India. I got a J2 visa stamped in delhi after returning from USA.

This time I am travelling as a dependent on J2. Is there any chance that I may be denied entry at the POE.

              Regards

                B2 extension- air ticket

                Hi,

I am applying for a B2 extension for my mother.
She has a return ticket as per the original plan on Mar 10 ( before the actual I94 expiry Mar 16)
Now we have decided to extend her stay for a couple of months.

One of the supporting document for B2 extension is the air ticket.
                1) Should we show the original air ticket that was purchased at the time she came to US and state that we plan to reschedule that based on the extension approval ?
                2) Should a new ticket be shown with the new planned return date (which will be beyond I94 say around May 15)

                Please help ASAP.
