My in-laws (68 yrs and 65 yrs old) applied for extension in Hyderebad and it got rejected. They have come to US 7 times in last 10 years. They applied for extension twice (once in 2005 and stayed for 20 additional days). 2nd time was in 2008 and stayed for 5 additional months. They had got proper extension paper work done on both times.
The consulate rejected and told that they violated by staying for almost a year. Even though he showed the extension papers, they did not see it or listen to what he was saying.
My father-in-laws mom is 80+ and still alive. He did mention that and showed paper work of house property etc but none was seen.
What do we do now? Can he apply again? If yes, do we need to have additional information.
Should I try reaching out to the local consular/senator? Please advise.
