Hi,
My mom got a 10yr multiple entry visa in July 2003. She came to US on 26th August, 2003 and was supposed to leave on 26th feb, 2003. We applied for an extension in mid-January 2004 because we wanted her to stay back for my 5th wedding anniversary in April. However, we got a letter rejecting the extension on 19th May, 2004. The letter was dated 18th May, 2004, but the I-94 was dated 8th May, 2004. She had an open ticket with Singapore airlines, but we could not get a seat because it was a peak season. We bought fresh tickets from British Airways and sent her back on 31st May, 2004. Now, my concerns are:
1. Is her 10yr multiple entry still valid? Will she be able to come to US on that visa?
2. If her visa has been voided, how long should she wait before applying for a new visa?
3. Will she get a new visa after overstaying because she was waiting for their decision?
Please help. Thanks so much!
