  • Patriot America or Tata AIG (india) insurance?

How is Patriot America insurance (comprehensive plan) as compared to Atlas America? Has anybody used it and have a review about it?
I was also wondering if anybody has used Tata AIG insurance from India - how was the experience and what did they cover?

Both Patriot America and Atlas America are excellent comprehensive coverage plans. There are certainly few differences. If you give some more details such as age, travel dates, any pre-existing conditions, desired policy maximum etc., we can suggest you the most suitable one. Please call us at (866) INSU-BUY or post the details here.

On the other hand, Tata-AIG is a fixed coverage plans for people of the age 55 years and above. Please fixed vs comprehensive coverage plans at https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-insurance/

Also, it is always better to purchase the insurance from US based company compared to India based company. Please read https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-ins...ia-comparison/ to understand the differences.
    Thanks & Regards

Thank you Insubuy! Here are the details:

Dad - 58 years (born December 1955), stents placed in his heart in 2010. Take daily medicine but otherwise is fine.
Mom - 57 years (born November 1956). Had angioplasty done last year for ruptured brain aneurysm. She is fine and certified fit to travel.

They are visiting from March 26th to July 22nd. Mom may extend her stay by a month or so. I live in VA and have access to INOVA and other hospitals in the area.

Do these plans cover pre-existing conditions? Also, how do I find out which providers are in-network?

      Looking for $50,000 maximum policy.

In that case, both Patriot America and Atlas America would be equally good for you.

You can search for the providers in your area at
        Atlas America: https://www.insubuy.com/hccmis-ppo-network/
        Patriot America: https://www.insubuy.com/img-first-health-ppo-network/

Both of the plans above cover acute onset of pre-existing conditions for people below the age of 70 years. Please read https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-insu...ng-conditions/

I am sure you know that insurance from Indian companies obviously don't have providers that are in-network in the US. And no network-negotiated fees either.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

          Hello,

I am planning to bring my father-in-law to USA and he is 74 years. He is having controlled diabetes for more than 10 years. Looks like none of the major insurance plans like, patriot america, atlas america and safe travel usa cover this scenario. I am seeing an alternate plan called TravMed Choice Inbound now. It is bit costly, but it covers controlled pre-existing conditions with 12 months look back period. Any idea about the drawback of this plan?

          Thanks,
          Sareesh.
