My father is 67 and is taking medication for blood pressure. Mother is diabetic, blood pressure. I had a horrible experience with an existing big player in visitor insurance last time when I had to pay all bills for doctors visit, checkups, tests even when I had comprehensive insurance. the insurance company did not pay saying it was pre-existing.
Questions
1) Is it true insurance companies dont cover pre-existing issues at all?
2) If yes, any complications arising out of diabetes would not be covered?
3) what is a good option for comprehensive coverage for non-existing cases? my parents are here for 5.5 months, so need an economical package which cover upto 100k. I can pay deductible upto 2k.
4) my brother, wife and 2 kids (age 5,2) are also visiting. Is there one family policy or do I need to buy it individually?
5)
I m grateful for your pointers and help.
