Anybody with successful insurance redemption after buying from insubuy.com or others?

Hello,

I am in the process of buying insurance for my parents (visitors to USA) and wanted to know if anybody has successfully been able to use the insurance after purchasing from insubuy.com or others?

I have seen a lot of threads about people asking questions about what to buy and why their claim got rejected but nothing on somebody being able to successfully use the insurance they bought.

By successfully, I mean no upfront payment except deductible and the insurance taking care of it.

Unfortunately, those who have a positive experience don't bother at all to report back on forums such as these. They are not bothered to check this forum and reply.

Hopefully, someone replies but chances are very less.

This is reality of mentality of customers in visitors insurance market.

Even if someone really writes a positive review by any chance, someone else will definitely jump into the conversation and allege that it must have been a **** review by the insurance company or their broker or agent.

But, being an insurance broker you guys should have some history of successful transactions?

Yes, we are aware of many successful claims.

I personally have made two big claims successfully, unfortunately:

1.
My 30 years old brother-in-law was traveling to Singapore and he died of heart attack. The insurance company paid the hospital bills as well as made all the arrangements to send the dead body back to India.

2.
My mother-in-law was traveling to Australia and got heart attack all of sudden. The hospital in Brisbane dealt with the insurance company directly and made direct payments.

Additionally, I am aware that we have thousands of satisfactory customers who get their claims paid properly every year without any problems.

I am interested in claims being paid for visitors visiting the USA.
I hope and pray that I don't have to use the insurance but when I am shelling of 3 grand, and in the rare circumstance that I might have to use it, some assurance is helpful.

Yes, majority of our business is for insurance for visitors to USA. And we are aware that thousands of successful claims get processed every year for visitors to USA.

Just that my two claim experiences happen to be outside the US. However, it is the same company that processes the claim, irrespective of whether it is visitors to USA or outside USA. Most insurance plans we sell provide coverage anywhere outside the home country and are not limited to just one country.

In fact, the claims process is much smoother in the US compared to outside the US. In the US, most plans we sell participate in PPO network where there are hundreds of thousands of contracted providers who accept the insurance directly, and charge the network negotiated fees.

Outside the US, there is not even a concept of PPO network. Even in that case, the insurance companies are able to arrange direct payments in many cases, just like how it worked in my personal cases.

One more thing:
I have purchased the same insurance plans for my relatives visiting the US numerous times, including the one earlier this month. Fortunately, nothing occurred. Obviously, one person can't have personal cat **** *phes in every situation or in every country to show examples. God Forbid!.

My parents were visiting me in US two years back. I had got them Atlas America insurance. My dad had a by-pass surgery 5-6 years back. When he was here, we had to take him to
Emergency room). The total cost came around 20k for one night at Emergency room. When we left the hospital, we absolutely did not pay anything. Later I had to follow up with insurance company almost daily. After 3 months, they finally paid everything to the hospital and I owed 500$ which was my deductible. I would say it is not too easy to get through it but in my case after lot of follow up it did happen. Next time, I would get the same insurance (Maybe with higher coverage)
