limited choice for ages 70+?

Hi,
I purchased my Mom's insurance who is below 70yrs a little over a month ago and had lots of choices. Now I have to purchase insurance for my dad who is 70+. But I can't find any comprehensive plans that cover acute onset of pre-existing conditions. Also, looks like Atlas and Patriot do not offer policies more than 100K for 70+, so my choices are really very limited, right?

You can purchase Atlas America or Patriot Platinum America $100,000 policy maximum, but it will not cover anything related to acute onset of pre-existing conditions.

This has probably been asked here before, but I'll ask again... My dad takes a very low dose of blood pressure medicine daily, more for keeping tab on his pulse than for his blood pressure. So, what all would not be covered under the insurance as pre-existing condition if he's taking daily blood pressure medicine? Any heart issues? Anything else? Thanks again.

I'll probably end up buying the one with 25k coverage for acute onset of preexisting condition, but I was wondering if I can buy 2 different plans? One that will cover the pre existing conditions, and the other which will cover up to 100k comprehensive. I don't know about others, but I feel 50k isn't enough coverage.

Looks like Save Travels USA has a clause that says "coverage related to cardiac conditions is limited to 15K for ages 70+". This is under the pre-existing clause, so anyone who takes medicine for blood pressure max coverage will be 15K for anything related.

Also, how would 2 insurances work? If something comes up, I file where the deductible is less and if denied, I file at the other insurance? Save Travels USA has a minimum deductible of $1000, nothing less than that, so it really doesn't make sensse for smaller issues like a broken bone or other non life-threatening conditions.

Also, If the 2 companies know that I have 2 insurance plans, won't they try to ask me to claim at the other one first?
