Hi,
I bought medical insurance from Insubuy for my wife and kid before their travel to USA.
Plan: ATLAS12 PREM 0/200K
Effective Date: Jun 16, 2017
End Date: Aug 5, 2017
While retrieving her baggage from the baggage carousel in the LAX airport, my wife right shoulder joint, arm and neck got strained.
She took off the shelf medicines for relief and tried to get over the pain.
After few weeks, the pain was not bearable and she had to visit hospital.
She contacted HCC MIS team before visiting the hospital about coverage and confirmed that the charges will be covered.
Doctor prescribed physical therapy and medicines.
Before making the physical therapy appointment, she contacted HCC MIS team to confirm the coverage.
For this also, HCC MIS team confirmed that the charges will be covered.
She had taken her physical therapy and got little relief from the pain.
Now HCC MIS is asking us to pay the charges saying the condition is not covered due to pre-existing limitation.
Please help us in dealing with this situation, as this incident happened in USA and still they are denying the claims.
Best regards,
Gangadhar Tunugunta.
