Blood pressure

Hello-
My father has never been diagnosed/treated for blood pressure.

After arriving in USA, probably because of lifestyle changes, his BP shoot up and we had to go to a doctor and take medications.
I would like to know whether I can claim this through insurance.

Would the hospital visits, lab tests, medications etc be covered?

I have patriot America.

It would be very difficult to answer like that on the discussion forum whether some particular thing would be covered or not.

It is determined by the insurance company's claim department whether something is a pre-existing condition or not based on the attending physician statement, medical records, treatment records etc.
