    Q1> Pre-existing conditions coverage.
NARENDRA>>>There is really no insurance plan anywhere from any company that will cover pre-existing conditions for visitors to USA.

Once in a while, some or other company tries to come up with some temporary attractions so that people get attracted towards their plan, when their plan is no longer competitive in price or benefits.

The type of little coverage that someone claims to offer does not really help, even if they indeed pay that. Let's the cost of the surgery is $40,000. However, the covered expense for surgery is only $3,000 as per the plan even for non pre-existing conditions. (Yes, fixed coverage plans don't provide complete coverage) And if you get covered at 15% of that for pre-existing conditions, that is $450. That means, you have to pay $39,550 yourself anyway. If you are paying that much yourself, don't you think that discount of $450 will be given to you very easily by the hospital anyway?

I reccomend that you read https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-medi...ng-conditions/

Q2>Also, I was told by a friend that there is one insurance policy that will refund the premium amount (minus some admin expenses) after the period, if there are NO claims. He DO not remember the plan name. This is not any where near to the truth, wanted to see if there is any real thing like that. Appreciate if you can clafiy on this?

NARENDRA>>> There is no such insurance plan anywhere. If you get sick, they pay you money. If you don't get sick, they refund your premium. Where are they going to get money from to pay? Think about it.

I am sure there is some confusion about this the way you were told by your friend or the way you understood.
Let's say you buy for 6 months, and your parents leave in 4 months. We have many plans that would give you refund for 2 months as long as there are no claims from day 1, after deducting the admin fee like $25. e.g., Visitors Care, Protection America, Atlas America, Inbound USA, Liaison International.
If you bought for 6 months, and you kept the insurance for 6 months, you have completed used the insurance. There is no refund. Just like car insurance. Do you get refund evrery year in your car insurance if you don't get into an accident?

    I hope that clarifies.
