Changing from fixed to comprehensive visitor insurance

My apologies to bother you one more time, but I have a question - if I buy the Visitor Care coverage for my Parents for their whole trip of approx. 5 months, and later need to get the comprehensive coverage for a specific 10 days out of this 5 month period, will I be able to buy that later if I need to?
