Relationship with UK NHS

Hello Sir/Madam, I live and work in the US but I am not a US citizen. I am a Ugandan Citizen and at the moment have traveled from the US to the UK for business. I have been here for 3 weeks and I was shopping around for a convenient health coverage that would cover me while in the UK till the end of September on my return to the US. When I purchase one of your packages, when do I get my National Insurance Number (NIC)? Do I get one through my email after I complete the registration/payment or do I have to wait for the documentation that you send through mail?
