Medical Expense

Hi - i am writing this for a friend. My friend has a visitor ( a very distant relative) visiting her from India. The visitor had a medical emergency and had to be hospitalized. Although the visitor has medical insurance, who is responsible for paying extra medical expenses. Any input will be appreciated.

However, FYI, the person who was treated and his/her sponsor are responsible for any medical expenses that are not paid by the insurance company.
