Skiing coverage in travel to USA insurance

we are visiting Colorado USA from New Zealand for a ski season 28 Nov - 28 Feb 08. We would like to know if you can offer us a comprehensive policy for medical and personal injury. Our two sons ages 15 and 12 years are expert skiers and will be competing in Freestyle competitions and training. Some of the time they will ski off piste and be doing big mountain. If you don't off cover can you give me any web link with an insurance company that covers competitive skiers

Do they get paid for taking part in the competitions? Are they doing professional skiing?

all competitions that semi and proffessional skiers enter offer prize money if you fall within the first 3 winners.
They are not international sponsored proffessional skiers being paid. However my youngest son is a sponsored skier and they do win prizes.

If you can win money in the competition, then we don't have any insurance product that would cover.

And as a broker, we sell insurance from most major companies in the US. And I didn't find any company for travel insurance that would.

Thats interesting as the USA holds the XGames and in respect of Freestyle skiing holds competitions for skiers at most mountains. The USA has a number of pro freeskiers that often require adequate medical insurance so without a doubt have cover. So there must be insurance companies offering these guys cover.
Most USA ski resorts run both Freestyle programs and also Alpine ski racing these competitiors will also have insurance. Who covers Bode MIller, Simon Dumont, Tanner Hall ? to name a few.

Perhaps you haven't heard of these guys but they are known world wide within the ski world and come from the USA.

There may be insurance companies for US residents. But you are not eligible for that.

However, travel medical insurance does not cover professional skiers.
