I am interested in buying medical insurance for a visit to the USA (period of 30 days) but I have angina which I have had for over thirty years and it is well controlled by medication. Is there an extra charge, on the premium quoted, for coverage of this condition? please advise. Thank you E,Sargeant

Unfortunately, it would be considered as pre-existing condition and not covered by any visitors medical insurance from any company.
You can still purchase visitors medical insurance for any new medical conditions, injuries or accidents after the effective date, available at https://www.insubuy.com/Thanks & Regards

Thank you for your prompt reply to my query, can you now tell me what the position would be, regarding treatment cover , if i had any other heart related problem whilst on holiday e.g. say a heart attack. I have never had a heart attack though as I told you in my message I was diagnosed many years ago with Angina which is well conrolled by my medication. My query then is are all heart related conditions ruled out for insurance cover purposes or would it only be if I had an angina attack?
I look forward to your reply with interest.

When you describe the medical conditions, there is no way for me or anyone to tell in advance whether it would be covered or not. It will be determined by the insurance company's claims department when the claim occurs, depending upon the medical records and attending physician statement.
You may want to read our pre-existing conditions FAQ at https://www.insubuy.com/visitor-medi...ng-conditions/ to get more idea. Thanks & Regards
