Short insurance for L1 visa holder

We are on L1 visa right now. We are going to extend it for another year, but right now we will get an answer in 2-3 months. Which kind of insurance do you suggest for us, which is more economically viable, and give more benefits. the visitors insurance or regular insurance. and what plan. i tried to look it on your site, but couldnt understand much.
so please guide, with your valuable suggestions.
