question on deductible ?

Hi,
I have question regarding deductible for the various
medical plans.
Is this deductible one time only or is paid for every doctor visit ?

Deductible is only once per policy period.

Exception: Inbound USA and Inbound Immigrant have deductible once per every new sickness/injury.

No plan has deductible per doctor's visit.

Thanks for the reply. Only for Patriot Plan it doesn't mention
that it is per policy period or per sickness. For other plans it
is stated in brochure.

Also another question. The precertification or prenotification is
done only when someone is hospitalized or for every doctor
visit ?

In Patriot America, it is once per policy period.

In Patriot America, precertification is required only for surgery/hospitalization/major treatment etc. It is not required for every doctor's visit.

policy maximum

Hi,
I have a question regarding policy maximum. Suppose if I
buy insurance for my mom and dad, then this policy
maximum is for each person or both combined.

For example if say policy maximum is $100K, then
it implies:
for dad policy max = $100K
for mom policy max = $100K
OR
dad + mom policy max = $100K.

In your case, 100K max for dad and 100K max for mom.

coverage period

Hi,
Thanks for the earlier reply.
I have a question regarding coverage period. For example if
my parents start their travel on say 24th of May from India and
if I start the coverage from 23rd of May, will it cover them while
they are in transit to USA.

Coverage starts at 12.01 AM Eastern time on the day you specify, in IMG policies.
