Need jaw-surgery for getting teeth straight

I have just enrolled in health insurance. My question is about pre-existing conditions. I went to the orthodontist because I finally have the money to get my teeth straight. However, the orthodontist said I need jaw surgery and that it was medically necessary. Will my insurance company consider me needing jaw surgery a pre-existing condition?
