My wife and I wish to travel to PA and VA in 2010 and require medical insurance cover for both but she has medical condition of diabetes (type 2 diet controlled) and TIA (11/2006 x 2) and rhumatoid arthritis and hypertension. Ongoing treatment means all are stable at present but may require additional premium. Are you able to quote for this. We intend to stay for 2 months May and June 2010.

You can certainly buy the visitors medical insurance but it will NOT cover any of the pre-existing conditions. It is meant to cover any new medical conditions, injuries or accidents that may occur after the effective date of the policy.
You can look at several plans at https://www.insubuy.com You will find the details and prices there.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us at any time. Thanks & Regards

Hello Narendra and thanks for the prompt reply.
In the pre existing conditions the suggestion is made that under “Acute on-set of pre existing conditions” the cover would be offered up to 15000 USD for under 70 years. As the TIA would be over 3 years when we travel and the Rhumatoid and Diabetes are under control by both doctor and tablet/injection administration would the cover not be possible.
I appreciate this is an awkward case but clearly we would not be advised to travel without the proper cover. If there is a premium, I have no objection but would not travel without adequate cover.
Your advice will be appreciated.

You can look at Atlas America at https://www.insubuy.com/atlasamerica-insurance/
It covers up to $15,000 for people under 70 years for acute onset of pre-existing conditions. It does not cover routine expenses.
There is no other plan available, even for extra premium. Thanks & Regards
