Regarding Insurance for My spouse and Kid

Hi Narendra,

I am on H1 and I have insurance from BCBS through my employer. My Wife and Kid are joining me in a week. I was trying get insurance from BCBS and ATNA but both need SSN numbers of my Spouse and Kid ( They wont have as they are on H4 ). Can you Suggest if any company offering insurance for this situation , Is the Visitor Insurance only option for them or any regular insurance company can provide insurance?

Plz advice me as soon as possible. They will be here by next week.

If you are not getting insurance through your employer, it would be very difficult to get domestic insurance for them without social security number.

Until they are eligible for regular insurance plans, they would have to go with visitors insurance.
