Deductible on renewal of visitors insurance

Hi,
I want to get insurance for my parents.
They may stay here for 5.5 months, but if they get bored here, they may leave within 3 months.

So I'm thinking of first getting for 3 months and then renewing insurance.
If I renew insurance, does the decutible apply 2 times ? eg: If for first 3 months period , I have 100$ deductible . Then when i renew policy for next 2.5 months, again will i have to pay another 100$ deductible for next 2.5 months ? or

will it be $100 for entire period 5.5 months even on renewal ?

I understand that there is a $5 renewal fee.I'm considering Patriot America or Atlas america.

In either of the plans, the deductible is annual. Therefore, you have to just pay it once.

2.
In Patriot America, if you renew for 1 month or more, there is no renewal fee. Otherwise, there is $5 renewal fee.
In Atlas America, there is always $5 renewal fee.

Thanks for your reply. 1 more question on renewal.

If I take insurance for 3 months for my parents and my parents get treated for some new health issue under the insurance coverge in first 3 months. And then after we renew insurance, if my parents have to be treated for this same health issue during renewal period, will this condition be considered as pre-exisiting from 1st 3 months period and will it not covered by insurance in renewal period ? or entire period is considered as overall period for coverage ?

As long as the condition was covered in first 3 months, it would be covered in renewal period also. When you renew, everything is continous.

Hi,
I stay in Minnesota. Though the climate now is better, in case my parents get cold, fever , Winter Flu, or some pollen allergy due to change in climate, which lasts for long time, will that be covered by Patriot america ? Mostly for such things, we wouldn't want to go to doctors and try out advil, tylenol etc. But in case it lasts long, is this something which is covered by insurance ?

As long as it is new medical condition that occurs after the effective date of the policy, it would be covered.
