  • Advice needed for buying medical insurance for visiting parents

My father (aged 74) and my mother (aged 67) are reaching US on Sept. 24th
and will return on March 15th, 2010 from here. My father has preexisting conditions like high cholestrol & diabetes though he's controlling them in diet & is not taking any medications currently. My mother has high cholestrol too. Under these circumstances please advise me as to which medical insurance would be best suited for them both & what's the minimum deductible that you would advise & also the amount of coverage advisable for them ?

You can consider buying Atlas America for both of them. Details at https://www.insubuy.com/atlasamerica-insurance/

Atlas America will cover up to $15,000 in acute onset of pre-existing conditions for persons below age 70.

$250 is the most common deductible. However, some people choose higher or lower deductible.

$50,000 is the minimum coverage available. However, we recommend you to buy at least $100,000 or more.
But $50,000 is the maximum available in Atlas America for age 70 and above.
If you would like to buy $100,000 for him, you can consider buying Patriot Platinum America, at https://www.insubuy.com/patriot-plat...ica-insurance/
