Hi, I would like to bring my Mom to USA. She's 65yrs old and has pre-existing medical conditions(diabetic and low-blood pressure) under proper medication. I would like to get a visitor insurance for her. I am skeptical about going for fixed or comprehensive plan. please provide some guidelines on the same. she would be staying with me for about 5 months. if the insurance doesn't cover for pre-existing medical condition, what's the advantage of taking comprehensive plan than fixed plan.

The main difference between fixed and comprehensive coverage is not mainly what is covered, but how much is covered.
Please read https://www.insubuy.com/visitors-insurance/ to understand the difference between fixed and comprehensive coverage plans.
Let's say, you take fixed coverage plan for $50,000 policy maximum. If you need a surgery that costs $40,000, it would only cover $3,300, while the comprehensive coverage plan would cover entire $40,000, subject to deductible and coinsurance.
We recommend that you always buy comprehensive coverage plan. Particularly, you may want to look at Altas America at https://www.insubuy.com/atlas-americ...ions-coverage/ and at
