Insurance billing !

Hi:

In the Visitor Care fixed coverage policy do we have to fill in a claim form each time my parents visit a doctor / take a hospital service or would it be billed directly to the insurance company?

In visitors care plan (or other fixed coverage plans), there is no provider network, PPO etc.

That means, you are free to visit any doctor or any hospital, anywhere you like. There is no restriction.

As soon as you make a purchase, you get a virtual id card in the email, and next business day, actual health insurance id card is mailed to you. That card has all the information that the provider may need to bill the insurance company directly. Therefore, most doctors still bill the insurance company directly, almost all the hospital bill directly as well. However, once in a while, if some doctor does not want to bill directly, you will have to first pay and make a claim, but that does not happen generally.

For prescription drugs, you have to first pay and then file for reimbursement. (True with all visitor medical insurance plans, fixed and comprehensive.)
