USCIS announced on December 27 that they have finalized a fee increase for premium processing on all eligible forms that will go into effect on February 26, 2024. The announcement states that after three years of these fees being unchanged, the increase is necessary to reflect inflation between June 2021 and June 2023 per the Consumer Price Index for All Urban Consumers.
DHS intends to use revenue generated by the fee increase to make improvements to adjudication processes, respond to adjudication demands, and otherwise fund USCIS adjudication and naturalization services.
USCIS states that any Form I-907 postmarked after February 26 with the incorrect filing fee will be rejected, and the filing fee will be returned. If the filing is sent via a commercial carrier such as FedEx or DHL, the postmark date is the date on the courier receipt.
