Slow but worth it
I used to transfer money through xoom since it was fast but recently on a friend’s suggestion I used RemitLite and I was very happy since the exchange rates are good. Though it is not fast but exchange rates matter to me more.

wire tranfer from US to HDFC bank in India
Will appreciate specific advice / instruction if anyone has experience with wire transfer money from US bank to HDFC bank account in India. I need to use wire transfer (vs. online services) because of the amount. I got all the instructions from HDFC bank. Included in that is HDFC Bank Swift code of HDFCINBBZZZ. However, in attempting the wire transfer from my bank (Bank of America), the Swift code is not accepted / recognized when entered along with the Recipient / Beneficiary details (My name, account number in HDFC, etc.) HDFC doesn't seem to be able to help me either! Thanks!

best money transfer to india
Friends,
For the last 3 years I've been living in a foreign country. I know and understand the challenges you face living as NRI. One of the challenges I faced was transferring money to India
The banks like to earn their share of the money you’re transferring, which adds frustration to the whole process. I had some experiences with HSBC, Remit2India what not. All wanted between 5.00 bucks to 20 bucks for a single transfer. And that’s not it! The exchange rate was horrible, too! I lost even more money there.

Luckily I stumbled across a service called http:\\www.transefrwise.com
Let me be very clear on one thing: I don’t work for TransferWise, I’m really just one of their customers, who loves their service and wants to spread the word. I’m open for any questions you may have.
However, I have written this article mainly with the intention to help people who currently waste their hard earned cash by throwing it at their banks for such a simple and straight forward service.
Initially I looked around their website as much as I could and later I made a test transfer of just a small amount I could afford to lose. I initiated the transfer on a night and to my surprise the money had reached India the day after (~ between 24-48 Hours). It was all there and so quick as well.

I have used TransferWise well over 20 times now the money has always reached it’s destination at amazing speed.

Give it a shot http:\\www.transefrwise.com

If you don't want just search in google read some reviews and decide yourself.

Enjoy your Day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my decision to use Remitlite was the best
I was very unsure whether to use Remitlite or no because I had read both good and bad comments about it. After I used RemitLite I got to know that the services of RemitLite are very nice. The money got transferred smoothly in some days with a good exchange rate.
