Property Related question - No OCI
Hello All,
I am writing to you all to figure out my unique situation (situation is unique in my mind). I was born in India, came to the US and became a US citizen by naturalization. I have a property in India that i received through inheritance (joint property) that I would like to sell. I was told by someone that I wont be able to sell my share of property if I don't have an OCI or adhaar card. Is it absolutely necessary for me to take an OCI card to sell this property? Right now, I have an Indian tourist visa that I use to visit India. If there is anyone in this forum that have sold their property (legally) without having an OCI card or adhaar card, could you please let me know the process?
