My partners fiancée petition was approved we got the notice on September 10th but we called the embassy and were told that she would get a checklist by mail. How long does that take and who should we contact to see progress if we can

I received an update that processed application is in transit. However the email doesnt mention if the application was accepted or rejected. Is there any way to find out or will it remain a mystery till I get the passport back?
