Can we 'prepone' the appt on VFS website?

The VFS website says that we can not prepone the appt. But, some people on this board and other boards say that they were able to ‘pre pone’ their parents’ appts without having to cancel the existing appt.

I don’t want to ‘cancel’ the existing appt by any means even if I find an earlier slot. I feel safe to have an option to ‘prepone’ rather than having to ‘cancel and rebook’. I hope you all know what I mean.

Would you all please write back with your experience on whether you were able to literally ‘prepone’ your appt using ‘Reschedule/Cancel’ link on the top. This helps me and others a lot..

Prepone Interview

The only way to prepone the visa interview is to cancel the existing interview and get the new date by retyping the form details online. You can cancel the interview dates maximum twice.

Make sure while you cancel the exisiting date you dont waste too much time in getting the new earlier date.. cause the chances are that you might loose both the dates...
You have to be fast enough to fill all the details agian on the website !!!

Looks like now VFS is allowing to change the appointment to an earlier date without cancelling appointment when dates are available

Thank you for the replies. I was just able to 'prepone' my MIL's appt without having to cancel and rebook. I just followed the 'Reschedule/Cancel' link on the top in VFS sits.
