H1B Visa

Hi....

Need some advice....

I donot have surname mentioned in my passport....
And recently I got B1 visa with Name as:

Last Namealeep Kumar
First Name:FNU

Now my company is planning to apply to H1B petition,I would like to know whether there be any issue with no surname in passport....like getting Driving license or SSN or any issue at POE....

Please help me in this case....

That should not be a problem. But make sure that whatever first name and last name in passport should be same while applying for h1, driving license, SSN etc etc...

While filling DS 160 form for B1 Visa,as Last name is mandatory so I put my last name as Daleep Kumar and First Name as FNU....So i got the valid visa ....

Can i use the same procedure for H1 also....
Shall I write....
Last name aleep Kumar
First name:FNU...

I guess, whatever went with B1 that was ok. But for h1 you need it same as passport. I don't think that while h1 filing if last name is blank, then it will create any problem.
The only problem I can see is once with last name like B1 you willl get h1, and once you will land in US, from SSN to Driving license, credit card, bank account everywhere you will be questioned about your differ names in passport and petition. So, in that case, again you need to get affidavit that both name belongs to same person. So, once check with h1 petitioner that he can keep the same last and given names like passport while filing h1 or not. If he says no then check with him about the future problems also. So, they will find some good solution for you.

H1 Visa last name mandatory?

HI,

Need an information on this,i am applying H1 first time,but in my all certificates and passport it is only first name no last name.

Will it create any issues for H1 Visa and while filling D160 form.

Application Adjustment from mumbai to jeddah consulate

Hi All,

I am currently working in jeddah, KSA since last 16 months and i am basically from india. I have attended the H1 stamping interview at jeddah consulate. Bu the VISA OFFICER is telling that my application is with MUMBAI embasy. She was suggesting me to adjust my application from MUMBAI to RIYADH cousulate.
Could somebody please tell me is it possible to adjust my application from mumbai to riyadh.

appointnment date in chennai consulate

Does any body booked an appointment in chennai consulate for 1st week of august?please tell me ,for the past few weeks i can see appointment dates only at New delhi and Kolkatta consulate.is visa dates in chennai consulate is released for aug 1st week or not yet released?any idea.
