INSTRUCTIONS

  1. PIO Card is NOT valid for:
    (a) Visit to Restricted /Protected areas.
    (b) Undertaking missionary work/mountaineering/research work.
  2. Registration NOT required for continuous stay up to 180 days.
  3. If continuous stay exceeds 180 days, registration required with the concerned Foreigners Registration Officer within 30 of the expiry of 180 days.
  4. This card is valid only when accompanied by a valid passport.

CAUTION

  1. This Card is the property of the Government of India. Any communication received by holder from the Issuing Authority regarding this Card including demand for its surrender should be complied with immediately.
  2. This Card must not be altered or mutilated in any way.
  3. Loss, theft or destruction of this Card should be immediately reported to the nearest Indian Mission abroad ; if the holder is in India, to the concerned Foreigners Regional Registration Officer or the Ministry of Home Affairs, Foreigners Division, Lok Nayak Bhavan, New Delhi – 110003
