Hello The status changed to " Refused" after I dropped documents and the 221g slip was given when picked up my passport which said to appear for interview on Jan 25th, 2023. During Interview, the officer said, you can keep your passport and we will notify you when the process is completed to submit your passport at any VAC's. On Feb 23, I have received the email from the Consulate to submit my passport. I have submitted my passport on March 14. On 28th March, the case updated on CEAC tracking but the status still shows as "Refused" and the passport tracking email response says "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted" Dec 13th - Dropped documents --- Status came back as Refused with 221 g Jan 25th - Attended the Interview --- Keep the passport and we will notify you when process is complete Feb 23rd - Consulate requested for Passport submission March 14th - Submitted the passport March 28th - Case updated but status still Refused How long still ?

I had a dropbox on 4th April 2022 for H1b renewal at the Mumbai consulate. The passport was returned back on 11th April 2022 without a stamp. Instead I got a 221g white slip which had the following ticked: "Your Application requires ADDITIONAL ADMINISTRATIVE PROCESSING. The Consular office will contact you via email if/when an update becomes available." Till date neither me nor my employer has received any email/communication from the Consulate. I am a FTE employee and this is my 2nd H1b stamping.

I had interview on 02/02/2023 at Abu Dhabi they put me under Ap for Ds-5535 and I am still under AP with no updates.

Full time employee, change of employer through consular processing as I was in India during h1 transfer. Had multiple successful dropbox earlier with old employer and without any issue. Passport still with Delhi embassy, and no email from embassy or no additional documentaion requested. Hope it won't be a long wait. 01/17/2023: Case Created (Drop box) 01/18/2023: Refused (Last Update Date Changed) 02/01/2023: Refused (Last Update Date Changed) 02/09/2023: Refused (Last Update Date Changed) Please feel free to comment if anyone in similar situation, especially when passport is with embassy. Not sure if it is good or bad.

Attended the visa interview on 11/29/2022 Passport returned 221g white slip provided, no documents requested

Oct 4th: In person appointment. They said I need to submit more documents. They gave my passport back and handed me a yellow 221g form. Oct 7th: Submitted document to [email protected] as requested and got an automated response. Case Last Updated (Refused): 25 Oct 19 Nov 28 Nov 06 Dec: additional documents requested - 08 Dec I emailed additional documents but didn't receive any confirmation response. 13 Dec I emailed the documents again but still no response. 14 Dec I emailed ustraveldocs asking them if the consulate received the docs. They said it's under administrative processing. 27 Jan: I emailed ustraveldocs again and got a response asking me to email them documents and get a confirmation again. But 2 hours later I got another email saying that my case is ready and I should mail my passport and copy of i797. 31 Jan: I sent in my passport, copy of i797, and 221g yellow slip as requested. - 01 Feb: Approved 🎉 16 Feb: Issued Hope this helps someone else
